Create issues from tasks

Any task can become a GitHub or GitLab issue: pick the repository, keep the title and notes, send your tags as labels. The task links to the issue it created, so closing and commenting work from the same place.

Labels become priority

Imported issues bring their labels, milestone and assignees. "urgent", "p1" or "critical" set the priority high; labels become tags; the milestone becomes a section. The words are yours to change per repository. Draft pull requests and review requests are marked in the Review Queue.

Statistics you can share

Choose Today, This Week, This Month, This Year or All Time — completed, focus time, rate and active days follow. Share a summary card straight to your friends or your feed.

Inbox that isn't empty

Project tasks with no date now appear below your Inbox, so the work that still needs a decision is one tap away. Off switch in Settings.

Also

Notes board with project filter, search, sort and a compact list. The app tour is back under About. Task details close with one tap on the Mac.

1.5 New places where the app works for you 9 September 2026

Vault

Every project gets a small safe for text: an API key, a licence code, the door code for the office. Items are encrypted on your device with a key that lives only in your iCloud Keychain, and open with Face ID or Touch ID. Never indexed, never in a widget, never sent anywhere.

Guided weekly review

A stepped walk through your Inbox and every project's stale tasks — decide, schedule, park or delete — ending with what you shipped this week. Everything it changes is undoable in one step.

Widgets

"Any List" shows the list you choose — a project, a smart list, Inbox, Today, Upcoming or Someday — in small, medium and large. "This Week" lays out the days ahead. Tap the circle to complete a task right on the Home Screen.

Imports that don't freeze

Todoist, TickTick, Reminders and pasted text now import in the background with a progress bar, and Cancel leaves nothing behind.

Smaller things

Each list remembers its own view: board or list, sort order and tag filter. A GitHub or GitLab issue you deleted stays deleted on the next sync. Undoing a delete no longer copies attachments.

1.4 Nothing you do should be irreversible 5 September 2026

Undo. Complete the wrong task, move it to the wrong project, reschedule it, or apply a batch action to twelve tasks at once — every one of them is now one tap from undone. The "— Undo" pill that used to know only about deletes now offers your last action too.

Logbook. Everything you have completed, day by day, newest first. Un-complete from there if you were too quick.

Backups that really are complete. A backup is now a single .jupiterbackup file that carries your attachments, note images and link previews — the bytes the old format could not — and states what is inside. Restore tells you what the file held against what this device had. Old backups still restore.

A backup you did not have to remember. Once a day, the first time the app opens with iCloud fully synced, it writes one to your iCloud Drive folder ("Jupiter Optimus" in Files) and keeps the last seven. Never while iCloud is still syncing — a half backup is worse than none. Settings shows when, how much, and where.

Pull-request notifications now lead somewhere. Tapping one opens the list that pull request is in: Review Queue for anything open — it now lists every open pull request in the repositories you track, not only the ones awaiting your review — and Shipped for merged ones, which it now lists too, and includes when you copy the digest.

1.3 On your wrist 2 September 2026

Apple Watch. The watch app shows what is due today, completes a task with a tap, and takes a new one by dictation straight into your Inbox. Complications put the day's count on your watch face. It syncs through your own iCloud, so it works with your iPhone in another room — and it is included in your subscription, with nothing extra to buy.

Control Centre and the Action Button. Add "New Task" or "Today" to Control Centre, the Lock Screen, or the Action Button, and you are one press away from typing.

Focus filters. Link a Focus mode to a Space and the app narrows itself to match — turn on Work, see only Work. Your Inbox and anything without a Space stay visible, so nothing quietly disappears.

Self-hosted GitLab. Connect to your company's GitLab, not only gitlab.com. Enter your server address when you connect.

Duplicate projects. If the same project arrived twice from two devices, the app now notices and offers to merge them, listing exactly what will move. Nothing is merged without your say-so.

Backups are safer. If iCloud is still syncing, the app warns you before writing a backup that would be incomplete, and tells you how much it holds. Erasing your data now states what your last backup contains and when it was taken.

Smaller things. Creating a project tells you if one with that name already exists. Repositories tracked on another device now appear here too, with the project they import into. An empty app offers to load sample data where you are, not only in Settings.

• Reminders now ring on all your devices, not just the one where you created the task — and they survive a restore from backup.
